Hi Phillip,
Can you clarify what you mean by missing code NMC?
Regards,
Daveon, I have a clip of a data sheet for a ADS8326, and a TI video that discusses the digitized sample.
Say, for an ADC with missing code 0000010 is missing for the digital output value for a given analog sample taken.
The TI video discusses the digital linearity and missing code for a given ADC device.
This is what I'm referring to.
I'd like to know if the PCM1820 has no missing code.
Thank you,
Philip
Hi Phillip,
No, PCM1820 does not have a way to detect missing code or evaluate performance in this way.
Regards
Daveon, I believe you are misunderstanding what I'm asking. I am not asking if the device can self-detect missing code. I am asking what the specification of the device output is. If you listen to the TI video, you'll understand what I am asking. It's how the ADC is created and the accuracy of each output bit code. Thank you, Philip
Hi Phillip,
I apologize for the miscommunication, allow me some time to consult with my team and get back to you. I will update the thread this week.
##Update##
Linearity performance is used to evaluate NMS for our audio ADC's. For example, perfect performance for 16bit data is 96dB, NMC at 16bit approximately 90dB performance.
