TPS51218: Confirm the OCP waveform of TPS51218DSCR

Hi AE,

         In the OCP test, The Voltage is 0.82V.

         I need to confirm the OCP waveform of TPS51218DSCR is normal?

         Please provide suggestion for me, Thanks.

          Based on my understanding, if the OCP could be triggered, the current will drop to 0A.

          But I can see the Voltage and current to keep about 1ms in the yellow block.

          1. Could you please explain the principle of this behavior ?
          2. I want to know the OCP waveform is normal behavior

    The state in your picture is not the same as the regular OCP waveform. Please provide input and output conditions, OCP test conditions, and SW and inductor current waveforms so that we can determine the cause of the problem. Thanks.

            Then we can discuss when the design triggering the OCP, I found Vout drop 0.82V from 5V within 1ms, then the current is still increasing continuously.

            Based on my current understanding, I can think the design that when OCP is first triggered, the voltage could be drops to 5V, then if the current can be            increased,  the voltage could be drop to 0.82V.

            To come back about the question, I want to confirm if the voltage dropping to 5V within 1ms is the normal behavior in the TPS51218DSCR ?

             I will provide this information tomorrow and please help checking about the highlight part, Thanks!
