LMC567: PCB Layout Advice

In the data sheet for the LMC567 the PCB layout example (section 12) shows a ground plane on the top layer. In our design we have a full ground plane on the layer directly underneath the top layer. Do we still need a ground plane area on the top layer as well?

Still suggested could give GND plan at Top layer to cover device area.

It is mostly works for decoupling caps, could have smallest parasitic loop between power pin and ground pin. If we only have second layer GND, all of the decoupling loop need to going through vias, the performance would be harmed.
