On this page: PCM3168A data sheet, product information and support | TI.com TI presents a box with the title A newer version of this product is available. In that box they show
"Same functionality with different pin-out to the compared device"
The problem is that the original part is a 6ch-in/8ch-out, and the suggested replacement parts are 2 channels. I would like TI to remove that from the page and replace it with something that actually has the same functionality. If nothing exists with the same functionality, please remove it.
