TAS2563: Audio Tuning Module Differences When Using TAS2563QFN-EVM and PPC3-EVM-MB + TAS2563YBGEVM-DC

Is there a reason why the audio tuning modules present in PPC3 is different for the TAS2563QFN EVM and TAS2563 EVM apps in PPC3?

For the former, PBE, 10-band EQ, and 3-band DRC are present and for the latter, no PBE, 5-band EQ, and 2-band DRC are present.

Is it possible to "unlock" the former features on the latter or is it EVB platform dependent?

Why is this the case if both EVBs are supporting the same amplifier (TAS2563)?

    Hi Joel, 

    TAS2563 wcsp is actually a few years older than the QFN variant. during the effort to repackage and re-release the device we had also added a newer iteration of our smart amplifier feature suite - which as noticed has 5 more biquads, 1 more bad DRC and one more DEQ

    The algorithms are burnt into the device ROM and the additional features are only available on the wcsp variant. 

    with that said the wcsp TAS2563 is still an extremely popular device and is used in many consumer electronics today - so achieving great audio performance is not difficult with either variant
