Hello, Does the PCM4222 require a 50% duty cycle for the MCKI? or is it edge triggered?

Hi,

There is no special timing requirement for MCLK clock apart from the maximum frequency described. In general, duty cycle should be kept around 45-55% of the clock period, as long as the minimum high or low cycle is above 50% of the maximum supported frequency.

Regardless of the format selection, audio data are always clocked out of the port on the falling edge of the BCK clock.

Thanks very much for your answer. In this case the MBM output mode is used, so MOD1 through MOD6 are our concern.

Hi,

In MBM mode, MODx output is timed on the falling edge of MCLK.
