TPA6304-Q1: GAIN related issue

Hello Daniel,

As you can see this gain meets our minimum gain for level 4.  This is an analog input amplifier with an input impedance is 20kOhm.  Any series resistance on the input will react to the 20kOhm input impedance as a voltage divider and reduce the signal level.  Please check this.  Please provide a schematic of the input including the source.

The related datasheet is as below, and their test point is the tpa6304-q input PIN.

Input level: 0.75mVrms

Output level:1.7Vrms

So the calculate result is 27.1dB.

Even it meet your min gain，but it didn’t have any margin。which means there has very high risk it will out of SPEC。

and we should have some sample can have 28db gain，but we cann’t find one。

For analog input device, the choice is indeed not too much. Would  you consider TAS5441?

we need the actual capacity of this IC first，if it can only have typical 27db gain，you need to change the datasheet，don't it？

 Perhaps we can't make judgement for 1PCS IC. Let me check if could find out some data about this distribution.

 I let factory give me some statistic data, the distribution as below. 

Seems most of the device between 27.5 to 27.65. Will be some of them a little smaller, to 27.2.

the type value must be 27.5dB

So We think you need to modify your datasheet.
