Q:Does the TLV320AIC3254 have a volume fade-in/fade-out function?

We have confirmed that the [Analog Programmable Gain Amplifire (PGA)] and [Digital Volume Control] have a [Soft Stepping Control] function.
However, we are thinking of attenuating or increasing the volume over about one second or so.

Hi Watanabe-san,

There is not a built in fade out function unfortunately. The soft stepping could help you program an I2C sequence to fade it out manually.

Please tell me how to program the I2C sequence to implement manual fade in/out.
The way we implement manual fade in/out is to change the volume register value over time via I2C communication?

Hi Watanabe-san,

That is correct. You would write the volume register multiple times according to how quickly you want the device to fade out.
