Hi Sumeet,

This EVM was not designed to go over 500 V. Quite a few changes would need to be made and this has not been tested before. The current would also be very limited, see the graph below. Is this still something you are interested in?

Hello Sydney,

I have requirement of generating 1000V for piezo applications, for which I intend to modify DRV2700 based circuitry to be able to generate 1000V with good amperage. Can you let me know what modification I would need to make?

Also, I would like to increase the current output of the circuit, is it possible to increase the current output to 500 mA @500V

Hi Sumeet,

No, there is not a way to increase the current to 500 mA at 500 V. This is a low power device that supplies about 1 W. At a much lower voltage, the max boost current is about 25 mA. As you increase the voltage, the current goes down.

The DRV2700 device in flyback configuration can achieve 1000 V, but please keep in mind though that this EVM was not designed to go above 500 V, so I don't recommend doing so.

I have DRV- HV evm with me, I want to increase the current output of DRV2700, by external modification to present flyback converter,

Second question: I want to give sinusoidal (200Hz to 15 KHz) input to DRV2700, to which pin should I connect this external signal.

Will It pass through RC filter?

Hi Semeet,

1. The DRV2700 is a low power device that can only generate about 1W, depending on the load. If you want to increase the current, you should lower the voltage.
