TAS6424E-Q1: TAS6424E-Q1: Diagnostic Function

Part Number: TAS6424E-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPIC7218, TAS6424E

Tool/software:

Hi,

 I have some questions about TPIC7218.

My customer account the following issue.

Customer fault phenomenon: the wheel speed suddenly becomes 0 during driving, and the wheel speed can only be restored after the power is off, and the vehicle fault code is read, one of which is the vehicle voltage drop.

        1、Reading the internal packets of the ESC reveals that the MCU had once been reset.

        2、Reading the internal message of the ESC at the moment of the fault finds that the power supply voltage is 0V (this confirms the fault code of the whole vehicle);

        3、Unplug the wheel speed sensor, and measure that the voltage at both ends of the ESC wheel speed sensor is 0V;

       Based on the above phenomenon, it is suspected that TPIC7218 is not working, and the following tests have been done internally:

        1、The voltage drops, and the wheel speed recovers after the voltage is restored, and the fault does not occur;

        2、ESD, BCI, ground offset and other tests have not been reproduced;

        Please help analyze when 7218 will not work.

    Thanks a lot!

Andy
