LM4549B: LINE_OUT_L and LINE_OUT_R signal level

Hi,

I am woking on designing AC97 interface using audio codec LM4549B. I have a question regarding Line_out_L and Line_Out_R output signal level.

Can you please clarify the max analog voltage output for line_out_l and line_out_r (I am not sure if 1Vrms is the peak ampltidue for 100 % volume ) ?

Hi Anurag,

The output voltage is measured by providing a 0dB signal to the DAC input. This results in typically a 1Vrms signal. The 1Vrms is about the maximum, since all the volume control in the DAC signal chain is attenuation only, you can't raise the volume higher than that.

Yes, a 1Vrms input signal corresponds to 0dB in the AC Link interface
