TAS2505-Q1: Question about output low level current of TAS2505-Q1 SDA and SCL

Part Number: TAS2505-Q1

Tool/software:

HI!

I'd like to use pull-up resistor of TAS2505-Q1 SDA and SCL with 1.5 kΩ.

I could not find output low level current (IOL) of SDA and SCL in the data sheet. Is it possible to set 1.5 kΩ?

Please let me know if you have the data of maximum output low level current (IOL) for TAS2505-Q1 SDA and SCL.

Thanks!

  • Hi

Usually suggest to use 10K pull up, and I/O current smaller than 1mA.

data of maximum output low level current (IOL) for TAS2505-Q1 SDA and SCL.

The maximum current could be considered as 10mA, but will have obvious voltage rise, only guarantee to be smaller than 30% DVDD.

  • Thank you
    I have 2 additional questions.

・The reference design in the datasheet recommends 2.7 kΩ for SCL and SDA pull-up resistors.
I would like to set the pull-up resistor smaller than the reference design, but is there a possibility of port damage by setting 1.5 kΩ?

・I would like to use IOVDD: 3.3 V and pull-up resistor: 1.5 kΩ. IOL= about 2.2 mA. Is there a problem?

  • Hi

Not likely to have damage, just not suggested for higher power loss.
