PCM1681: PCM1681 OUTPUT NOISE.

Tool/software:

I am using PCM1681. So when I am generating a sine wave from DAC, I am observing lot of noise. Datasheet mentions that there will be out of band noise at the output, which we need to remove using an external active LPF. I have used an LPF. At the output of LPF, the noise I am seeing at the output of DAC is eliminated and i can get clean waveform.

But, this much of noise is expected at the output of PCM1681?

My sampling rate is 32khz. system clock-4.096M, BCK-1.024M

Hi Ashok, Some devices have more out of band noise than other devices, For example our new line of DACs, TAD5xxx family has less. At the end of the day a good LPF should clear out the noise and if this is achieved I would not be worry about.
