PCMD3140-Q1: FSYNC Frequency Tolerance around 96 kHz

Part Number: PCMD3140-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCMD3140

Tool/software:

I would like to operate the device with the FSYNC frequency slightly (~1-2%) off 96 kHz to synchronize with external devices.  Will this pose a problem for the internal operation of the PCMD3140?

(Note: BCLK will remain exactly 32x the FSYNC frequency.)

Thanks.

  • Hi Christopher,

A 1-2% deviation should not pose a problem for the PLL and auto-clocking configuration within the device. Since the ratio between BCLK and FSYNC is supported, the dividers to generate internal clocks will even out correctly.

    Regards,
