Audio Amplifier Inductor

Tool/software:

Iam designed one audio amplifier using IC "TPQ3116D2-Q1" iam providing audio signal , by connecting audio to speaker , but pin fault is blocking voltage , later we changed inductor "BLM31KN121BH1L" into 74477110 ,Which is 10uH , 5A , then audio amplifier is working fine , problem is foot print of inductor , we have designed previous inductor is "1206 ", now present inductor foot print is "1260" ,like 5 PCB we have assembled , so kindly help use to solve this issue , 1206 foot recommend any inductor will provide , reference Audio Amplifier Evaluation board same circuit we using , kindly reply as soon as possible

Hi Jeeva

As I check BLM31KN121BH1L is a ferrite bead, not an inductor. If you like you use this one, need to take care of the output capacitor, should use 1nF. Otherwise would possibly trigger OC at start up.

hii thank you for response, I will share you our schematic and suggest us where to change the capacitors and inductance with required value. If you're okay with that i will share you the circuit shortly.

Hi Jeeva

Remove C82 and C90 first.

If you want to use BLM31KN121BH1L, change C80 and C88 to 1nF.

If you want to use 74477110, needn't change.

Hai Sir , After doing at output side completely zero voltage sir , Using same inductor can we able achieve sir , In audio Amplifier Evalution board at output side 12V we are getting Sir , same circuit but only inductor is different in our PCB Card , can you kindly help us to overcome from this problem

Hi Jeeva

Is R71 and R78 is NC, or 3.3ohm on your board? Remove this two resistor, and make sure there's no other things at the output side.

Dear Sir

No Sir After Removing the resistor also we didn't get excepted output Sir, at Speaker Side Connector not getting Voltage , If we sent audio signal also not getting , Please kindly help us to solve this issue. Past One month we trying to Solve Sir , Reply as Soon as Possible Sir

Hi Jeev

If you are certain all of the previous step have been checked, then perhaps this device not suitable to use ferrite bead together with your speaker. This device's datasheet also didn't mention could support the ferrite bead using.

ok sir , then suggest some other inductor which will suitable to overcome this problem , but in PCB foot print of Inductor will is 1206 ,Please Sir

Hi Jeeva

I don't think a 1206 inductor could support the current ability for your products. Anyway, we are not the inductor expert.

Please find a inductor vendor, tell them you need a 10uH inductor, and tell them the max output current of your product. They will recommend suitable part to you.
