Hi team,

I accidentally damaged the TAS2505-Q1 on my board, so I would like to double check the

over current behavior.

Q1. How long does it take to detecting over current to shutdown the output?

Q2. How much is the SPKM and SPKP absolute maximum voltage?

When AVDD, DVDD, SPKVDD are not powered and then apply voltage to SPKP/M, does reverse current path from SPKM/P to SPKVDD turns on

due to the body diode of high side switch?

Hi Tsuji-san,

I do not find the specification for the over current shutdown time.
The maximum voltage on the output pins will be SPKRVDD. If SPKRVDD is 0 then the output must be zero. We cannot allow the body diode of the high side switch to conduct.

I understand there is no specification for over current shutdown time.

Is there any specification or design target/characterization data about the over current threshold value?

The background of my question is that I would like to protect my solenoid which rated for <3A.

The OC point for this device is around 1.1A.

How much is the tolerance % of this OC point?

+/-50% is safe enough?

From some test data, the variation should within 0.9A to 1.3A.
