TLV320AIC3110: TLV320AIC3110 some troubles

About TLV320AIC3110

I would like to connect this IC to Linux and use it by connecting a microphone and speaker.

At this time, two unintended symptoms (1) and (2) appear, so I would like to resolve them.

What are the possible causes?

(1) Recording will end in 1/3 of the set time. When played back on Linux, the sound is as recorded, but on a PC it plays at 1/3 speed, giving the impression of a lag.

(2)Sound pressure becomes extremely low.

When I play

Pattern A :repeatedly with "aplay" command, the sound pressure drops at some point and then stays low until I restart the computer(reset IC).

Pattern B: Sound pressure is low from the time of startup.

Thanks.

  • Hi,

    1) This sounds almost certainly like a sample rate mismatch error. Make sure your PC settings in both Windows and the playback software match the intended sample rate.

    2) What is the difference between causing pattern A and B to happen? How is it recreated? Also what do you mean by sound pressure? Is this playback level or recording level?

    Thanks,

    Jeff McPherson
