PCMD3140: GPIO1 as SDOUT2

Part Number: PCMD3140
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCMD3180

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'm trying to use the converter above in I2S output configuration together with four PDM mics.

The converter output data is collected by a miniDSP MCHStreamer, set to 176.4kHz. The soundcard is only capable of receiving standard I2S data, so with only one channel in the left frame and one in the right frame.

On the available datasheet, in section 7.3.1.3 is told that GPIO1 pin can be configured as a secondary output data lane for the ASI. In the rest of the document is not mentioned how to do so, however.

Follow up question is, assuming it is possible to do what mentioned above, would it be possible to route channel 1 and 2 to SDOUT, and channel 3 and 4 to GPIO1 in SDOUT2 configuration?

Thanks in advance
