Hi team,

Would like to have a quick check with you. Previously, customer used both OUTA and OUTB channel. But there have some requirement change which only require one channel output. Customer would like to only use OUTB+/- channel. They plan to just NC all the components(LC filters) on OUTA+ and OUTA-.

I want to check with you, do they need to do some software(this software was used in both OUTA and OUTB enable case) changes as well(like disable OUTA)? Or they just NC all the components on OUTA+/- is okay? No need to change the software.

Hello Ethan,

Don't typically recommend doing this but you need to keep the bootstrap caps on any unused channel but can usually remove the LC filter. Would recommend verifying this on an EVM or on the customer side for their system conditions. Alternatively you can use the device in PBTL(requires some minor register changes) or use the TAS5720A-Q1.

Hi Luis,

Except Leo's question, customer feedbacked that they also removed the bootstrap cap currently. They observed the OC false triggering. Then they muted OUTA channel from SW. The OC false trigger was gone.

Want to check with you if it is okay(remove bootstrap, but mute corresponding channel from SW)?
