TLV320AIC3253 When in MAST mode, is the MCU host available without MCLK? How to design it if it is paired with LM48310 or TAS2552?

Hi,

To design with LM48310 or TAS2552 (or any analog input amplifier) couple the Line Outputs from the codec to the analog inputs of the amp with a 1st order low pass filter fc = 20kHz.

In Master Mode the source clock must be present for the codec to operate correctly. BCLK can be a substitute if MCLK is not available.

Can TLV320AIC3253 be used as a master to output BCLK? Because Soc Host I2S only has Slave mode.

Hi,

AIC3253 can act as Master to output BCLK but it requires a source clock (like MCLK).
