TAS2780: Export registers from PPC3 without EVM

Part Number: TAS2780

Tool/software:

Good day

Im currently waiting on acceptance to use the PPC3 software for configuring the registers of the TAS2780 that we are using on our new product we are developing.
How can we go about exporting/viewing the configured registers in PPC3 without having access to a TAS2780EVM.

Kind regards
Ben J

  • Hi Ben,

the binary export for the TAS2780 does require the EVM to be connected during the process.

however you can record the I2C download to the device without the EVM connected.

    1) first open PPC3 and go to the device control page. make the necessary changes that are needed to the settings. save this PPC3 file.

    2) return to PPC3 app center and then reopen the TAS2780 PPC3 app and load your saved .ppc3 file.

    3) open the "I2C" monitor, go to the 'Log" page and press the small green button to begin I2C recording.

    4) open the device control panel (while I2C monitor is recording)

    5) press power up in the TAS2780 device control panel.

    6) once completed stop the recording by pressing the now red button, and save the file.

In this way you can have all the necessary I2C transactions. please let me know if it is clear.

    Regards,
    Arthur
