1. In the TAS2563 amplifier reference schematic, a Schottky diode is connected between VBAT and VBST. What is its purpose? Kindly confirm whether we should include this in our design.

2. If the PDMCLK pin is not in use, what should we do?

Hey Priyanka,

The diode use is explained in the pdf doc on the product page that talks about how to use external pvdd supply to the IC. Check page 3. It's an optional diode but it would help to prevent reverse current if pvdd comes on before vbat.

Pdmck and pdmd pins can be left floating if not in use.

Hey Priyanka,

This would be if the device is operating in master mode with respect to another device that could share that MCK with the IC providing an MCK. So, if there's a tas2563 master and tas2563 slave in one system, the master device would provide one MCK that would be shared.

Look up this pdf for tas2563.

Hi Ore,

Hope you are ding well.

Regarding the PDMCKL pin, it is connected to ground instead of being left NC. Will this cause any issues? Kindly confirm.

It should not cause any issues if there's no PDMD input to the device. Both could be connected to GND.
