PCM5122EVM-U: PurePath Consolu 3 connection error

Dear Team,

My customer is going to evaluate the PCM5122EVM. They installed the PurePath Consolue 3, version 3.2.1, in their PC. They connected the PCM5122EVM to their PC, but the PCM5122EVM did not appear the installed EVM Apps on the PPC3. Then, they cannot start the evaluation. They can evaluated the TAS5805M by this PPC3. They tried to remove the PPC3 once and to reinstall the PPC3 again, but the PCM5122EVM dose not appear on the PPC3.

Do you understand what the problem is?

Hello,

PPC3 is not the correct software for this device so it won't show this device as it is not configured in PPC3 GUI.

PCM5122EVM, PCM5142EVM both use PurePath Console 1.16 whereas PCM5242EVM – uses PurePath Console 2. The miniDSPs for the PCM5122/42/5242 all use PurePath Studio V5.95 – Home Audio,

You can still use I2C master that comes with PPC3 to write and read into the device ( I personally usually use I2C master within PPC3 and dont use any other GUI.

If you want to use the PPS or PPC1 and the link is not working, you should file a ticket with software team to fix the link.

i think few years ago i requested it from request page and got it in my Securesource, and it worked on Window11.

Thank you for the links. I told the customer about it.

You explained as follows,

Can you tell me how to use this? There is no such function on the PPC3 screen.

Hello Koshi-san,

When you run the PPC3 and logged in, you should be able to see all the installed devices as well I2C master as I am showing below.

Sometimes you need to login couple of times before it recognizes you are logged in!!!

If you don't see I2C master , reinstall the PPC3 again and if still I2C master is missing, you need to file a ticket so software team can take a look at it.
