TLV320AIC10: Unused input on A1

I am trying to determine if the A1 (-) input is floating when CR1 (Bit 6) = 0?

I am concerned about noise getting into the IC.

Hi Michael,

If A1 is disabled, then SW2 is open while SW1 is closed, so the input to the amp will be floating, and the AURXM pin will connect to the mux. There should be no concern on noise in this case.

The words "the input to the amp will be floating" always make me uneasy.

Hi Michael,

You have a valid concern so let me clarify some, the input will be floating but it won't be exposed externally where it can pick up noise from the environment.
