TLV320AIC3100: SPKP and SPKM connection

Hi,

The SPKP (22 and 26 pins) and SPKM (19 and 25 pins) are connected internally. (Datasheet 2P, 1.4 Functional Block Diagram)

Do they need to be connected externally? (Datasheet page 121)

Can one of the SPKP and SPKM pins be open?

    Hi Nishie,

    It's not a hard requirement for both pins to be connected. But it is recommended to connect externally since both pairs of pins will be switching and you typically don't want hanging edges on your speaker traces. Closing the loop will give best performance.
