I just unpacked it and set it up. Only to find out today that it's discontinued. Love it when that happens. Life's cruel jokes...
If only TI made something else suitable.

It looks like the TAS3202 might work for my application. My fear is that the TAS3x0x will dry up completely, though.
Is this an emotional support forum, also? I may be taking this too personally. What do the experienced engineers do when they're in the middle of a project and this happens? Start drinking?
Josh - all TAS3x0x devices are being moved to NRND status. You will still be able to purchase the EVMs as well as sample- and production-quantities of the devices. However, TI's support for these devices, EVMs, tools, and documentation, will be very limited. In addition, no silicon revisions or tool bug-fix releases should be expected. Regards, Lester
Thanks again, Lester.
This is bad news. Does the suggested replacement, PCM3070, use a similar DSP architecture (48-Bit Data Path With 76-Bit Accumulator)?
TAS3x0x were perfect for my application.
Josh,
LOL, I just read your comment about emotional support.
As Lester said, these parts are still valid, it's just that support for things like the GUI, etc are being de-emphasized.
Hmmm, not sure if that will make you feel better or worse...
