Hi team,
I’m planning to develop an audio amplifier circuit to amplify the audio signal coming from an STM32F103. For this, I’m considering using the RC4580Q, but I’m not sure how to begin. Could you please guide me on how to design the circuit? I also need to feed the amplifier output into another high‑power amplifier. I will be using a single 5V DC power supply.

What is the application circuit intended for? Some examples include headphone amplifier, Vinyl record playback, microphone amplifier etc. The type of application will determine what recommendations I provide.

Thank you for your quick response.

My application is a voice announcement system. I am generating the audio signal from an STM32F103 using PWM with an RC filter, and this signal is fed into an RC4580Q operational amplifier. The output of the RC4580Q is then connected to a high‑power audio amplifier.

Could you please guide me with a suitable reference design for this application?

Hi Sankar,

For this design you may consider the Active Filter design shown in the application note below.

With active filters it is often recommended to use a Mos op amp such as the OPA1678 that is shown the application note.
