Dear Sir,
Is it possible to connect the TAS5707 with external I2S source which don't have MCLK. Base on the datasheet of TAS5705, TAS5707 can generate the internal clock. It should be possible, right?

Hi, Aneli,
Sorry the d/s is a little unclear on that.
What happens is the I2C continues to work, but the audio is muted until a valid MCLK is applied to the device.

Hello Aneli:
The newer devices like TAS5709, TAS5711, TAS5717 can operate with MCLK setting of 64*Fs. This means that you can route on the PCB SCLK to both SCLK pin and MCLK pin. This configuration is valid for Fs of 44.1 and 48 kHz. This configuration does not support lower Fs.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Tuan
