Dear, Sir.

I have an simple question regarding TAS5162.

"BTL/PBTL-Configration Pulldown Resistor" is located on each outputs(OUTA/B/C/D).

These are described the block diagram on the datasheet.

Point of design target-wise, How much value is expected for such resistors?

Mr Sakai,

The TAS5162 is a quite old part. I suggest you look at one of our newer devices like TAS5352 or TAS5631.

Thank you for your reply.

Newer product would be better to promote for new system as you mentioning.

My customer has been applying TAS5162 for several years. in Malaysia plant and recently

started to apply same device in Japan, also.

This question is came during their checking PCB for manufacuring error analysis.

Hoping your understanding about this kind of my situation.

These BTL/PBTL pull down resistors are internal in the device, several kohm value. they are used to make sure the device starts with minimum click & pop.

Hi Sakai,

The internal pulldown resistors at the output of each half-brigde is 1K ohms nominal with +-10% variations. In the SE mode, the weak pulldowns are not enabled.

Dear, Paul-san.

My customer, SHARP is facing a pop-noise issue using TAS5162, SE mode.
They have found the improvement method for it to force to set the output
bias middle of PVDD by external R-R.
They want to obtain such chip internal parameter which I asked to deteremine the proper
R value.

Approx. "50K ohms" can be measured using multi-meter according their chip internal
impedance(ohms) checking on some samples.

So that, Please let me doule-confirm why "50K ohms" can be observed in SE mode.
