Microphone on CC8520

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC8520

Hi,

When I use the CC8520 with any music device connected to the master, the output is heard clearly through the slave.  However, when I connect a microphone to the input I am unable to hear anything.  If I increase the fixed offset it only increases the noise, and no audio from the microphone can be heard.  Any advice?

  • Hi EDR,

I guess this is because you have incorrect audio path routing and/or missing the mic_bias. Try changing your configurations so that the slave is using the application role "mono microphone" or "stereo microphone", and the master is a "mono output base station" or "stereo output base station" correspondingly. Remember to use the logical channels microphone 0 (and microphone 1 if this is a stereo mic). In this case you should be able to connect a microphone to the 3.5 mm jack. Remember that the audio goes from slave to master in this case.
