Hi Everyone:
Could someone please tell me, what is the difference between PCM 1792 and DSD 1792??? I cannot be that the PCM version only takes CD-discs and that the DSD Version takes SACD's, because according to the D/A Converterlist at Dutch Audio Classics, the Denon DCD-SA1 Has Two PCM-1792's and it DOES play SACD'S (DSD), so IS there any difference between the PCM and DSD Versions or is it just two ways of saying the same thing???
My other question is, what the "A" stands for in DSD1792A??? Is the "A" Version a Further Developped Version with some other or better features??? Is it Radically Different, than the "NON-"A" - Version of the DSD/PCM 1792??? Is the "A"- Version a Newer and Improved Version of the PCM/DSD 1792???
My Third and Last Question is, that of the Three SACD-Players, that I am interested in.
1) Denon DCD-SA1 (2 x PCM 1792)
2) Luxman D-06 (2 x PCM 1792A)
3) Marantz SA-11S3 (1 x DSD 1792A) Actually the photo I have seen, depicts a DSD 1792 and NOT the "A" Version, even though the Marantz Website, says it is the "A" - Version.
Now my question is: of the three, only Marantz, has only ONE Converter. I Really would like my player to have TWO Converters, for better linearity, but the Marantz, with ONE Converter, is the cheapest of the three, so therefore my question is: Should there be any Significant Difference in Linearity and Sound Quality, Between a player, that has ONE and TWO PCM/DSD 1792's or is the architecture so advanced, that you don't really need two converters now, like you did in the 80'ies and 90'ies???
Thank You Very Much in Advance, I hope you can help me.
