TAS5727 Power-supply rejection ratio

Hi,

When looking through the datasheet of the TAS5727 I could not find the PSRR. I would like to know the PSRR of the TAS5727, because I am contemplating if I need to make a clean PSU for the TAS5727 or can directly power it with a very noisy power rail.

Hi, Ali,

The TAS5727 is an open loop amplifier, so the PSRR is not great (I've asked my colleague to comment on that).

You would be better suited to use a closed-loop amplifier like our new TAS5760MD or TAS5760M.This will have much higher PSRR.

Hi Ali,

Welcome to the E2E forums!

As Don mentioned, the TAS5727 is an open-loop amplifier, so there is no PSRR value as there is no feedback. The output signal will follow the rails of the power supply. So this will require a clean PSU. A closed-loop amplifier (like the TAS5760M/MD) will give you a PSRR as it has a method of feedback.

Do you have closed loop amplifiers that are pin compatible with the TAS5727?

Hi Ali,

Unfortunately, we don't have anything pin-to-pin compatable. However, the TAS5708 is very close in functionality/pinout with the same package (while being closed-looped).
