TLV320DAC3101 the Quiescent Current

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320DAC3101

Hi,

Our customers are very interested in the TLV320DAC3101.
There is no information in the data sheet regarding the quiescent current(in non-input signal) which is an important parameter in the portable products.
Could you please tell us about the quiescent current and the evaluation condition(AVDD/DVDD/HPVDD/SPLVDD/SRVDD, Mode Settings, Clock Settings, etc.)?

Best Regards,
Kato

  • Hi, Kato-san,

Please see this post. I believe that it answers your question. Let me know if you need more info.

  • Hi Don-san,

    Thank you for your information.
Our customers also would like to use the TLV320DAC3101 as stereo headphone or stereo speaker by using analog inputs(pins of AIN1 and AIN2).
If we use analog inputs, we think that it is possible to power down the processing blocks, the digital volume control dac and etc.
In this case, how should we think about the quiescent current?
We assume that the impedance of headphone output is 16ohm, the impedance of speaker output is 8ohm.
For example, if we use stereo playback via headphone only, does the quiescent current become current value of HVDD(refer to slaa468.pdf) as a rough estimate?
Could you please advise us about it?

    Best Regards,
    Kato
