pcm1870 SNR(single ended) > SNR(differential input) ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1870A

Going through the PCM1870A datasheet, I noticed figure 10 and figure 11 show the SNR for single ended and differential input modes, and it appears that single ended has better SNR than differential for both unity and high gains (up to 10 dB advantage!).  I would have expected differential to have better SNR, so is the datasheet correct and it is simply better to use single ended inputs?
