thermal resistance of TPA3118/TPA3132

Dear Sir,

In our TPA3118 datasheet, the thermal resistance is :

if the customer told me the power dissapation is 0.5W,ambient temperature is 25℃，Could we use the following formula to calculate the case temerature ? and can we use Psi Jc as thelta JC?

Hi, Roman,

I would use the RthetaJA number. Case temp really has no meaning for a PowerPAD device.

Kes or Ryan can explain this to you if you don't understand.

Do you mean that the case temperature is very close to die temperature for a PowerPAD device?
