HI:

I am using the TPA2016D2. I have met a problem: The volume will automatically change from small to big when I am using the TPA2016, and I don't change the amplifier gain during using it. Why??

I want to get the constant volume. So I want to disable the AGC function, but I don't find the register set to disable the AGC function. How can I disable the AGC function for TPA2016?

Hi,

You can control that via register 7. Set the compression ratio to 1:1 and the AGC is effectively disabled:

Thanks your reply. But I have done it befor your reply and it will not output any sound!! Which phenomenon isn't the thing i want. I wish it shall output the constant sound and be not the quient sound output. How I can do it to output constant sound with volume and simultaneously disable the AGC?

Sorry! Audio PA can output sound as disable the AGC. But the sound still will be changed from small to big after about 3 seconds. Can i get the constant sound output??

Hi, Lin,

Great!!! You got it working!

You probably need to change the gain values. The gain steps up according to the release time programmed in the IC, that's why you see the gain change after 3 seconds.
