Analog to optical conversion

For a non-audio application we would like to convert 2 analog signals to an optical output.

Is it possible to use the PCM2902 to do that with the SPDIF output. The USB connection cannot be used in our environment.

Is it better to use an architecture like on the PCM1807 evaluation board? Unfortunately there is more components with this solution.

I don't believe you can use the PCM2902C to do this.

I am a little concerned about your application, if you try to transmit a dc level, I'm not sure I2S will work for that.Many of our audio devices have circuitry inside them to block DC.

We are looking to frequency of 10 to 500Hz. DC is not important. The application is an EMG.

I think that we will purchase a PCM1807 or PCM3010 evaluation board to make the test.
