Hi,

Can we remove the startup and shutdown ramp capacitor without audible artifacts including pops or clicks although you recommend to use 100nF as that capacitor value in BTL and PBTL mode on page 15 of TAS5624A data sheet as below?
Of course, we understand that the duration of the startup and shutdown ramp is approximately 100ms.
Could you please tell us the minimum value of that capacitor which we should connect to C_START pin if you can not recommend to remove it?

The datasheet contains the recomemnded value for the C_STARTUP capacitor. A smaller value can be used if the ramp speed needs to be increased as well as larger capacitance can be used. The device reliability is not affected by the C_START value.

A C_START value smaller than specified in the datasheet may still obtain acceptable startup and shutdown behavior, but needs to be tested in the actual application.
