For the PCM2900C, the power supply requirement is in the range of 4.35~5.25V a. When the boost converter is used to supply for this Vbus, it still outputs the voltage which is below than 4.35V. For example, 3.3~4.3V when it is disabled. What is the current leakage in this case and if the USB data line has the abnormal signals that incurs the host’s response as well?

Hi Henry,

When not active and in the suspend mode, the PCM2900C will use around 250 uA. This is in page 5 of the data sheet. If the device is brought out of the suspend mode then the PCM2900C will use a max of 67 mA.

Hi Justin,

It's not clear for my question.

Actually, is there any current leakage when the power voltage is lower than the operation range, less than 4.3V? BTW, in this case, if the data stream can generates the signal which could incur the host is waken up?

Hi Weihua,

Once the VBus passes 2.5 V the PCM2900C will start it's internal reset and then take 700 us to startup. Then it will be waiting for setup and should be in suspend, therefore using around 250 uA.
