TPA2016D2 leave I2C SCL & SDA floating

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2016D2

Dear sir,

May I have your comment if we don't use I2C interface can we leave SLC and SDA floating? Thanks.

  • Hi Eason,

I guess you want to use the TPA2016D2 with its default register values, right?
I would suggest you to better connect the recommended pull up resistor in SCL and SDA pins; this will make sure that these pins have no accidental transitions that the device may understand as start or stop sequences.

    Dear Iván Salazar,

Firstly, thanks for your kindly reply. According to your description, I just put pull up resistor (10K) in SCL and SDA pins, then it can work well, am I right?

    Thanks

    Best regards,

  • Hi Eason,

That's correct, put pull up resistor in SCL & SDA pins and it should work fine.
If you have any other questions about this let me know.
