LM4546B, LM4549B, LM4550B EVM and AC'97 versions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4546B, LM4550B, LM4549B

Hi Team,

One of my customers, Draeger Medical (bedside hospital patient monitors), has been using a WM9705CSEFL/RV from Wolfson/Cirrus that is now going obsolete. They need AC'97 support so I pointed them to the LM4546B, LM4549B, LM4550B devices. However, those devices only support version 2.1 while the Wolfson/Cirrus part supported AC'97 version 2.2. They are not sure at the moment if that is going to be a problem, but I wanted to see if there were any potential problems with switching to version 2.1 for them?

Also, they are interested in getting an EVM, but I did not see one online. I assume that they don't exist, but wanted to check as well.

Thanks,

Nate
