Hi,

can TAS5614A pwm inputs feed from another (smaller) class d amplifire outputs?
what are the signal demands in that case (pwm frequency etc)?

Hi Fredrik,

A digital pulse width modulator like TAS5508C is often used to drive the input of digital input power stages like TAS5614A; TAS5614AEVM is configured this way.
These are the input signal characteristics for TAS5614A: 384kHz PWM switching frequency and 97.7% modulation limit.

Hi Ivan,
Thank's for the information. Would it be possible to use an ordinary (low power) analog input class d amplifier in i.e. AD mode to feed the pwm inputs at TAS5614A, or that's perhaps not a good idea?

Hi Fredrik,

That configuration could be possible but the performance is not guaranteed.
You have to take care of the input signal characteristics of the power stage amplifier.
