TAS5727　and TAS5731M

1 - The main purpose of the PWM level Meter is to study the power profile of the amplifier. The PWM level is obtained from a RMS estimator after the DAP, so when the input signal is muted or there is no input, the level detected will be 0. 

2 - Mixers are programmed by selecting the gain that each input will be contributing to the mixed signal. this gain is set with a coefficient that ranges from 0 (no input) to 1 (full input). This coefficient must be written into the register in 3.23 format. Those mixers can be used to setup the device in a series 2-band DRC configuration. 

3 - You can find detailed information of the DRC in this application note:  sloa148.pdf.

　　I want to know the purpose of the path to the 0x71,0x75 the signal after the DRC processing.　
3-I can not find the description of the "SoftningFilter" the application notes.
　Whether this would be the same parameters as the "Energy" of the other DRC?

Hi Hasebe-san,

TAS5727 and TAS5731M can't detect "No Signal" from SDIN. However, if all or one of the I2S clocks is halted during this time, the missing clock is detected and the Class D output will be muted.

However, my customer want to control the power consumption of the circuit and sends detection data (FLAG) of no signal to the μ-com for the purpose of power energy conservation .

Sorry, the only approach I can think of is monitoring the PWM level meter register to detect when there's no audio.

I can found PWM LEVEL METER in datasheet of TAS5731.

Therefore, I think as the same for both functional descriptions.

HI Hasebe-san,

That's corrrect. The info for the PWM level meter in TAS5731 applies to TAS5731M, since they have the same digital front-end.

Hi Hasebe-San,

The PWM LEVEL METER function is available for the TAS5727, neither TAS5731 or TAS5731M have it. The text in the  TAS5731 Datasheet is a typo that was fixed for the TAS5731M document.
