TPA3116D2 characterization and data programming using PurePath

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3116D2

Hi,

Our team decided to use TPA3116D2 for our system. This is the first time we are to use this amplifier and we have a couple of questions:

1. We saw a video from www.ti.com/.../tpa3116d2evm wherein the characterization includes using the Purepath tool. We had placed a request for the software. Are there any other alternative software we can use? Can we skip the characterization and proceed with hardware design modifications?

2. In the video (based from #1), the instructor had mentioned an end result data from the characterization. How can we use this data for the manufacturing? what lines must we used for the programming?

Thanks,

Kat

  • Hi Kat,

The TPA3116D2 is an analog Stereo Class D amplifier and It is fully hardware configurable.

The software and speaker characterization shown in the video is related to a different kind of amplifiers, If you are interested in knowing more infromation about them, please follow the next link: http://www.ti.com/tool/pp-salb-evm
