TAS3204 Instruction reference PDF

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS3204, PCM3070

HEy there,

Been a while since I logged on - MY.TI and extranets and so forth seem to be completely redone or done away with.

I'm trying to find the TAS3xxx instruction set reference pdf as I'm creating new modules for PPS for the TAS3204 to meet a specific need, but the document doesn't seem to exist anywhere any more.

Little help?

Cheers

~David

  • Hi David,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

Unfortunately this device is Not Recommended for New Designs so we are not offering support to that part any longer.

I would strongly suggest you to move to one of our latest devices, like the PCM3070, this device is quite similar and is fully supported by our team.

  • Hi Diego,

I don't need full support for it.

I completely understand that it's NNRD - however we have a number of products that still use this chip, and the PCM3070, as I have said many times here in the past, is missing a couple of key features that I simply can not do without in our designs.

Having said that, in this particular case I'm modifying the assembly code in one of the modules for an existing product, and I sorely need the PDF of the assembly instruction set for the TAS3xxx - there is every chance I have it somewhere on a disk or computer somewhere in our lab, but I was hoping it would be faster to simply download it from the website. I didn't imagine that a reference document for a chip that is still being sold to existing customers would have reference material simply removed from the TI website, that doesn't make sense to me. Is there any way to get it or am I doomed to trawl through endless download folders with unhelpfully named PDF files?

At the very least can you tell me the name of the file that I'm looking for on the computers here?

    Cheers

    ~David

  • Right, well it only too five days but I found it, it's called TAS3xxx DSP Instruction Set Reference Guide, and I'm attaching it here for anyone who needs it, since you guys haven't been much help.
