i use a TPA2012D2 amplifier in my current project. Everything works fine. J
But our customer invented a new use case. Beside the normal function, as an audio amplifier, we need to reduce the output power significantly. The easiest way to do that, is to minimize gain (to 6dB) and increase load resistance.
The following diagram is from the amplifier datasheet (page 1) and shows the effect – more load resistance, less power.
The question is, how much load resistance can be added before the amplifier becomes unstable (is 32 Ohm max?)?
