Shutdown mode of TPA2006D1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2006D1

Dear, All

A customer is considering TPA2006D1.
It's necessary to detect a shutdown mode to use a device.
Therefore output impedance at the time of a shutdown mode is needed.
It's indicated on a datasheet with more than 1 kΩ.
I want you to tell me this variation data.
I also want the temperature special quality of the variation data.

Thanks, Masami M.

  • Hi Masami-san

When the TPA2006D1 is set in shutdown mode the device output stage is turned off and set into high impedance, this impedance is higher that 1kΩ.
The current consumption in shutdown mode would be very low (5uA), therefore the temperature should be very low too.
Please let me know your opinion or if you have more questions.

    Best regards

  • Hi José Luis Figueroa-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
However, the customer assumes it when TPA2006D1 becomes the high impedance by thermal shutdown.
Therefore, it is necessary to consider temperature properties.
In addition, they need the variation's data of this value to design the circuit where they detects a state of the high impedance.

    Thanks, Masami M.

  • Hi Masami-san

Unfortunately we don't have the variation's data of this value because it depends on the ambient temperature, PCB system, so on.
But this value must be too much low, I think you shouldn't have any issue.

  • Hi Jose Luis Figueroa-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
    I understood it.
    I will another question.
Output impedance is more than 1kΩ all operating temperature range at the time of shutdown mode?

    Thanks, Masami M.

  • Hi Masami-San

The impedance could oscillate a little bit with different temperature range at shutdown mode. I think that It shouldn't affect on your application.
