Hello,

I see on TLV320AIC14K datasheet that gain of the "INP and INM Input" can be adjusted from -42dB to 20dB in 1dB steps.

I wonder if this gain setting refers to voltage or power. My question is, in order to double the input signal, should I set 3dB or 6dB gain?

Hi, Jorge,

All the codec gains are related to the voltage. So, the gain would be calculated as 20log(Vo/Vin). This means that in order to double the input signal, you should set the gain to 6dB.
