PCM2706 without EEPROM

Hi Sir,

PCM2706 will support the external ROM interface. But could we use it without EEPRM, just floating the related pins and volume pins.

Does it work ? if yes, what would the output be ?

Hi Mac,

PCM2706 can be used without EEPROM, it will show the default descriptors. You can find some information about the descriptor values at page 16 in PCM2706 datasheet.
The device should work fine with or without EEPROM connected. If you're not using EEPROM you must float CK pin and place pull-up resistor at DT pin.
