TAS5727 Load impedance question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5727, TAS5751M

Hi Team

I want use TAS5727,  My speaker impedance is 4 ohm +/- 15% , The load Minimum will be 3.4 ohm.

TAS5727 spec show the load Minimum is 4 ohm.

Could we use TAS5727 in our system? Did you have any suggested part number?

  • Hi, Kerr,

The minimum load data from the datasheet is the minimum "typical" speaker we would recommend for the customer. We anticipated that over frequency the impedance of a speaker changes, as a tolerance in the impedance is considered when recommending 4Ohm load as the minimum speaker value. So, you can use the TAS5727 without any issue. I would like to add that we have newer amplifiers with better performance, reduced cost and easier end-system integration, like our TAS5751M.

  • Hi Diego
Thank you for your great support . I will promote TAS5751M to customer.
